I'm level 20....now what?
Last night I finally got to level 20 with my primary character....aaand it was just like all the other level-ups I'd had.
Why do people make it look like something magical happens when you hit level 20? (and no, this isn't an "I'm bored" thread, cause I still have a lottt of stuff to do) |

Level 20 just means that you can now compete on even footing in PvP and can get in post-lowbie area PvE groups. Nothing "special" happens outside of the health and attribute point increases. By the way, don't forget the quests to get the rest of your attribute points (you should end up with a total of 200).

It isn't that level 20 is so much different from level 19.
It is just meaningful because it is the apex. Your character is done levelling and has reached full potential. A lot of people see it as a milestone. |

First of all, grats on reaching level 20!
Now you will be able to better participate in late-game missions, elite areas like UW, FoW, Tombs, Factions elite missions, and of course, PvP! |

Theres a certain bias to below lvl 20.
Like in Desert Missions for example. Lvl 20 now means you dont have to worry about that. Now you gotta worry about armor and class bias only |

You don't know what to do?? WOW!!!! This isn't WoW. Ok, well, once reaching level 20, doing missions get to Henge of Denravi (if you haven't already), find a runner, or run yourself to maguuma stade, there will be a quest taking you to Riverside Province (if you haven't already), then do the quest and you'll be taken to sanctum cay, after that you'll be taken to Amnoon Oasis (crystal desert), you need to do 3 missions and kill doppleganger and you'll have ascended, after ascending, you'll be taken to dragons lair, do that and you'll be taken to droks, to Ice Caves of Sorrow to get to this other mission (which I can't remember), do the mission and you'll be infused... then I think you get taken to Ring of fire, where you complete the game, look on guildwiki for storyline and objectives.

Well reaching 20 used to mean for the most part ascending and that opened new realms for us. But now in general it means no more level grind.
Congrats on your 20 ^_^ |

Sorry nothing magical happens. Your character does not look any different. You do not have a glowing aura around you. You are just 1 level higher than a level 19.

But you are kind of right. Being level 20 gives a psychological advantage over level 19, making you more likely to be accepted into PUGs. |

I remember thinking something "special" would happen when you hit lvl 20. I was kind of dissapointed also.
Also, remember being new and seeing people in mission areas spamming, "lvl 20 tank ascended and infused lfg" lol I thought being ascended or infused gave you some kind of godly-like powers or made you some kind of uber warrior. That was another dissapointment, finding out it only made you resistant to mursaat dmg. |
